Amontola is a spacious Indian restaurant which has recently been taken over by a new management team, with effect from Monday 27th April 2015.

The new team at Amontola will be headed by the proprietor Syed Washim Bari. Washim was the manager at the Award Winning Star of Bengal in Darlington. He will be assisted by an experienced team who will be dedicated to customer service and satisfaction. The Head Chef is Mr Syed Koyes Miah, who was previously the Head Chef of the Award Winning Star of Bengal. He will lead a devoted team who will prepare mouth watering cuisine using the finest ingredients.

We will strive to improve the quality of the cuisine and service at Amontola by introducing new dishes, as well as your favourite classics, to enhance your dining experience.
